Phantasm has always been a favourite horror series of mine, and the ‘Spheres’ are an instant classic horror tool the minute they arrive on screen. The four films that have been released to date are some of the craziest off-the-wall horror films of any generation, i mean how many films have demon midget’s travelling through interdimensional portals transporting corpses in barrells? Not many i can guarantee you that.
So imagine my surprise when Don Coscarelli keeps mentioning a fifth installment and then all of the sudden the following poster just arrives online.
According to a source the film has also already been shot- which would be insane. So should we expect a trailer soon, or an official announcement I would like to think so.
As for the real question- will Angus Scrimm be back as the Tall man? Im not so sure as he is now 87, but id like to think that Phantasm can’t take place without him- and according to the source all of ‘the gang’ should return. I guess time will tell.
