Comic Book Picks 6th January 16

Happy New Year all, and welcome to my first post of the New Year (I took some time to relax) as we look forward to Wednesday this week and the slew of new titles that get released. Having already read Amazing Spider-Man #6, Obi Wana nd Anakin #1 and Rocket Raccoon and Groot #1 I can honestly say there all good reads- but I’m not reccomending them this week as I have higher intrigue levels in books I havent read yet.

Uncanny X-Men #1

Official Synopsis: In a world that’s never hated or feared mutants more, there is only one constant: BIGGER THREATS REQUIRE MORE THREATENING X-MEN. Refusing to accept one more mutant death, the most ruthless mutants on Earth have banded together to proactively mow down their enemies. But with a team populated by relentless killers, one question applies above all others: Can they stay away from each other’s throats long enough to sever their targets’?

Why its a Pick: This is the most exciting looking of the new X-Men titles that has launched since the ‘All New All Different’ monikor started. Watching Magneto lead a team of old school killers and rogues should be great fun, and seeing these characters try to co-exist should be fun.

Totally Awesome Hulk #2

• But can Amadeus handle the brand-new danger of Lady Hellbender?
• Also: Trouble in the family! Snack time with Spidey! And more revelations about just what the devil happened to Banner!

Why its a Pick: Totally Awesome Hulk was much better than i expected in the first issue and really lived up to the title- hence my level of excitement for the second issue. If this is half as much fun as the first issue then this should be a totally enjoyable read.

Spider-Man/Deadpool #1

Official Synopsis: The Webbed Wonder and the Merc with a Mouth are teaming up for their first ongoing series EVER! It’s action, adventure and just a smattering of (b) romance in this episodic epic featuring the WORLD’S GREATEST SUPER HERO and the star of the WORLD’S GREATEST COMICS MAGAZINE. Talk about a REAL dynamic duo!

Why its a Pick: This has all the hall marks of possibly the best pairing of characters in a long time- who doesnt love these two alone let lone together. I can only imagine how good the chemistry between these two should be- and that gets me excited for sure.

Book of the Week.

Magneto and a villainous gang of X-Men steals the show this week im afraid- there is no way im not buying and reading this book asap.
