Wednesday is nearly here, and that means its time for another round of comic books for the reading pleasure of us all. But whats out there this week that needs to be read? Well here are my picks for the week……

Dark Knight III: The Master Race #1

Official Synopsis: The epic ending you never saw coming is here because you demanded it! The Dark Knight rises again to face the dawn of the master race!

Why its a Pick: The original has been one of the most praised comic books to ever make its way to print, and with good reason as the gritty and old Dark Knight was a game changer for the character and the stories he was in moving forward. The sequel was also a great story, so the excitement level for this is massive, and is totally understandable. If you’ve ever read the first two you should be on board with this instantly as it follows the same premise of skipping three years and continuing the returning run of the old Dark Knight. This is an exciting prospect and should be creative gold with the writers and artists all being some of the industriues top talents.

Saga #31

Official Synopsis: NEW STORY ARC!
After a dramatic time jump, the three-time Eisner Award winner for Best Continuing Series finally returns, as Hazel begins the most exciting adventure of her life…kindergarten!

Why its a Pick: Saga has been amazing since it beagn its run, and that isn’t going to change anytime soon from what I can gather- and the move of focus towards Hazel should be brilliant as this is an exciting prospect. The artwork is always amazing from Fiona Staples and the writing from Vaughan is great- so watching these two tackle a child lead story in space is an exciting and intriguing prospect.

Darth Vader #13

Official Synopsis: The first crossover of Star Wars’s new Marvel age continues here! Vader vs. All the Rebels…it’s not a fair fight!PART TWO OF VADER DOWN!

Why its a Pick: Vader Down #1 was a great issue, and had one of the single best Star Wars moments; not just comic book panels at the end. The fact that Vader is willing to take on an entire Rebel platoon and is confident that it shouldn’t be a problem for himnhas me full of nerd anticipation to watch the Sith lord go full power on these men while providing some great visual treats. Vader has always been a real badass in the cannon outside of movies and it’s nice to see that this is contuing and it feels great to be a part of this.

Book of the Week

As much as my other recommendations have me excited, this is the book I’m looking forward to the most this week. It should be great to jump back into the world of Millers Dark Knight and with the talent on this book it should look and read brilliantly too.
