Comic Book Picks 30th September’15

Wednesday is on the horizon, and that means that so are this weeks new comic book releases which seems chocked full of annuals. But amongst all of these what are the books that stand out as must buy this weeks? Well here are my picks

The Sandman: Overture #6 (of6)

Official Synopsis: The final issue of the Eisner Award-nominated series is a sweep of science fictional beauty and madness. Featuring cameos by some of Morpheus’s favorite siblings, the grand finale of OVERTURE dovetails into the start of The Sandman’s first journey, providing new insight into THE SANDMAN VOL. 1: PRELUDES AND NOCTURNES.

Why its a Pick: Neil Gaiman is an amazing writer, from his Novels to his Comic Books everything he touches is simple great. And when you consider this is the final issue in the delayed yet brilliant prequel to everything we know about the Sandman universe this is set to be a huge issue- and for that reason this is a complete must read.

Batman Annual #4

Official Synopsis: Batman is gone…but Bruce Wayne is alive? What does that mean for Gotham City? And who is Bruce Wayne without Batman? This special annual delves deeper into the mystery building, and whether or not Bruce can ever really escape from the shadow of the Dark Knight.

Why its a Pick: Honestly this issue peaks my interest for the simple reason that it looks at providing us with an explanation as to how Bruce is about after the finale of ‘Endgame’ and what he has been upto since this happened. This should be a good side issue, but im a little upset that Mr Bloom is having to take a back seat.
