Only one more day until we once again get bombarded by a whole host of new comic books from both the big companies and the independent little ones all vying for space in your collection, but what should you buy this week? Well here are my picks of the week
Official Synopsis:Where do worlds go when they die?
The Earthquakes felt round the Multiverse, Superman’s lost days after “Doomed,” the World’s End – all these points will converge as the history of the DCU is spun from a new perspective, the perspective of a mad god and his arrogant child. The biggest story in DC history ties into literally every DC story ever told – and it all begins here.
Kingdom Come, Red Son, Wild West Justice League, Captain Carrot and the Zoo Crew – all the worlds you remember can still be found on Telos. Everything matters. Every story matters.
Don’t miss the start of DC’s April/May 2015 event with this special issue!
Why its a Pick: Thus is the beginning of the biggest DC story of the year and promises to give us the meaning behind everything ever printed! This is a huge promise and one I’m not sure they can make sense of, as there are lots of out of cannon and what if stories but I’m interested enough to give it a go and if it works it should be an absolutely huge epic.
Uncanny InHumans #0
Official Synopsis: The industry’s best-selling artist comes to the Inhumans! The prelude to one of Marvel’s biggest launches of 2015 is here!Think you know Black Bolt? Think again, as the men who killed Wolverine show you a side of the Inhuman King you’ve never seen before!
Why its a Pick: The InHumans are going to be massive over the next several years within Marvel, both in their comic book line and the Cinematic Universe so now is the time to get on board with any kind of changes and stories there going to give us and a 0point issue seems logical. The InHumans have always been an interesting B-team within Marvel hopefully this focus can help move them to the A-leagues, and the talent on this issue shouldn’t hurt at all and when you add all the recent press surrounding the new team this issue is a must buy.
Black Science #13
Official Synopsis: The Dimensionauts take on a new mission: leave every world they visit behind better than when they found it. But their mettle is put to the test in a plague-ridden society that wants to burn them all at the stake.
Why its a Pick: Black Science has been one of the best science fiction series since its release and each new world that the team find themselves presents a new and unique challenge for the team and their survival, add to this multiple characters traveling between it her world’s to achieve the own ends and this story is epic and engrossing. Each new world also looks unique and has a distinctive art style, and I’m excited to see how Scalera depicts this plague ridden universe.
Book of the Week:
I’m too excited to continue my journey with the Dimensionauts to be giving book of the week to anything else even though Convergence was a very close second.
