Tom Hardy has exited the upcoming ‘Suicide Squad’ movie, with director David Ayer apparently eyeing Jake Gyllenhaal as a potential replacement to play the role of Rick Flagg.
According to The Wrap, Hardy’s exit is due to an unforeseen scheduling clash. Sources say that Hardy’s current project ‘The Revenant’ has run over-schedule, and is now expected to last until at least mid March, by which point the actor will be gearing up to promote Mad Max: Fury Road, due this summer.
David Ayer is reportedly looking to Jake Gylenhaal to replace Hardy, with the two having worked together previously on ‘End Of Watch’.
With all camps holding back on any official announcements, we’re waiting to see any solid reports, but we’ll be keeping a close eye on any developments.
