Warner Brothers have confirmed not only that Black Adam will be played Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson but also the tone of the still unannounced (at least officially) movie and its will break the WB no jokes policy to be a more fun film.
When interviewed Toby Emmerich, head of WB subsidiary New Line, stated “It feels to me like Shazam will have a tone unto itself……It’s a DC comic but not a Jusice League character, and it’s not a Marvel comic. The tone and feel of the movie will be different from other comic movies….it will have a sense of fun and humour but still be serious.”
So with the WB no jokes policy being broken for Shazam does this mean that the film will stand outside of the current Man of Steel continuity that seems to be being developed? And with a tone, screen writer and Villain cast how long can it be before we see a release date and the casting of Shazam? I guess only time will answer those questions but for now SHAZAM!!!!!!
