For months now, and even longer given his appearance in the mid credits scene of ‘Avengers’ fans have been specualting about the role of Thanos in future Marvel Universe movies especially ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron.’ However with Guardians of the Galaxy arrivig on August 1st many people are expecting to see more of the Mad Titan than previously thought, and the casting of Josh Brolin to the voice role has only helped to amp up specualtion that he is sure to appear- well now we have a potential spolier about his role in the movie.
According to Vulture Thanos will appear in the film’s first act as a hologram and will stay that way for much of the film, while being referenced by other characters throughout. He will appear once “in the flesh,” so to speak, when he shares a scene with Lee Pace’s Ronan the Accuser and Karen Gillan’s Nebula. The character has been rumored to be taking on a bigger role (perhaps the main villain) in The Avengers 3.
Guardians of the Galaxy is written and directed by James Gunn and also stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Djimon Hounsou, Benicio del Toro, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, Gregg Henry, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker and Vin Diesel. It releases on August 1st.
