Thanks to the likes of successful comic to TV adaptations such as The Walking Dead, Arrow, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., comics have been getting green lit rapidly in the last year. Adding to the [now] long roster, DMZ — demilitarized zone — will be the latest comic to top that list.
Brian Wood and Riccardo Burchielli’s DMZ wrapped up its 7-year, 72 issue run in 2012. After photojournalist Matty Roth accidentally becomes the DMZ‘s newest citizen, he continues to document the nation’s civil war behind Manhattan’s demilitarized zone walls.
The series will be backed by executive producers Andre and Maria Jacquemetton — Mad Men, and producer David Heyman — Harry Potter, Gravity.
